"Druren," Fiorex muttered, still lying down on the muddy surface of the ground, "We're on the way to Lenaria. You suddenly fainted so we decided to bring you along."
Valandil sat down by a grey tree, cross-legged and in deep thought. Every now and then, his eyes seemed to glow with unnatural light, but, he was a Wiken, and an elf at that. It wasn't completely unnatural if you look at it that way. Fiorex sat up and stretched. "You seemed to get quite the rest, huh, Goldie?" he laughed. "I'm completely... exhausted," he let himself fall back on the ground with a plop, closing his eyes, and looking defeated in somewhat of a humorous way.

She wipes away the tears off her face, she accepts the cup offered to her and takes a few sips. She feels better, but it's not much. She looks at Fiorex, who's just plopped on the mud and grass, she couldn't help but giggle. She gives him a pat on the head.
"Now, now. What kind of a man are you if you cant even carry me?"
She gives him a wink.
"Why are you going to Lenaria? And why this path, out of all the paths?"

"I've carried you for approximately 6 hours, is that man enough?" he laughed, then place an arm over his head. "Not all Lenarian harbors would accept a boat full of Wikens carrying one of their guards, now, is there? We have our own territory for a reason." He removed his arm from his face, looking at the flurry of leaves and inhaling the stench of who-knows-what.
"It's starting to fog again," he groaned, "I hope we get to Lenaria soon."
Valandil kept his stand by the tree. There wasn't much activity about him other than the unnatural glow in his eyes and the mark on his forehead.

She looks at him curiously. "I was asleep for six hours?" She looked at him curiously, then at Valandil. "I guess they would question why you would have an unconscious Lenarian Guard in your boat."
She tilts her head and just stares at Valandil. "Hey... Why is Elf-Eyes glowing?"

Fiorex groaned and sat up again, combing back his dark chestnut-colored hair. He took a quick glance a Valandil, who didn't seem to notice anything around him- or maybe, he did, but it didn't really show. His eyes continued to gaze straight ahead, glowing a bright teal every now and then.
"I don't really know," Fiorex shrugged, staring flatly at his elf friend, "He does it a lot, and I think it has something to do with his telepathic powers or somethin'."
"What I'm worrying about, to be honest, is this forest," he confessed, "It has this eerie feel to it, if you know what I mean. It's like something's always watching you, and you can't help but try to ignore it, even though you know you can't."

"Druren is alive. One of the few living forests left." Luca commented. He assumed that he was the guide. "But it was hurt, and hurt badly. The only way it could heal itself was Darkness. That is why this it is under never ending night."

A loud giggling can be heard echoing throughout the Druren. The winds begin to blow, spreading the eerie sound everywhere. A young lady, with bright red hair approaches the group, followed by an entourage of poisonous spiders.
"Hello young travelers! And Luca..." She acknowledges the green-haired guide with a evil smirk. "Welcome! Welcome to the Druren! I am Araignee. Would you like to come with me... For a little snack?" She licks her red lips as she looks at each and every one of the members of the party, hungrily.
"Dont worry dear, sweet Luca... I will share. You can have the Elf. I know you like those types." She gives a laugh, while the spiders around her, surround the small group.

"I'm far from the darkness today." Luca answered defiantly. He knew that there were other days- those wherein he indulged in the twilight and hedonism, but today, he was surprisingly sane. "And I am helping them through Druren, before the forest eats them up in its darkness." He picks up a little twig, and molds it into a lantern- it glowed a bright green. He moves forward, and the trees move away, as if in obedience to his will. But still, the spiders...

Suddenly, and by suddenly- yes, without notice, Valandil's eyes narrowed, and he swiftly reached out for his bow. He simply held it, his eyes piercing and cold, glaring right through the very soul of the spider-like Wiken. He swears he'd seen her before, but after more than a hundred years of breathing, how could he remember that certain glimpse so easily? He walked towards the group, motioning the two frightened children (in his eyes) to stand up.
"Enough rest, we must depart quickly."
Fiorex, though frightened by the presence of the unknown Wiken, groaned in reply. It was after midnight, after all, and he wanted to nap.

"Tch! Out of all the days. Today is the day, you're benevolent. How nice of you." She flips her long red hair, and gives a sigh. "If you will be helping them... I cannot hope to win..."
She looks at the elf, pointing an arrow to her heart. "I will not harm you, sweet travelers, today. But stray down my path again, and you will never see the bright allure of light no more." She gives a menacing smile, and with a bow, she departs into the darkness, with the spiders following her wake.

Collete sees the spider-Wiken come and go. There's something about her voice that reminds her of something, but she cant pinpoint it. She hears Valandril command them to stand up. She hears Fiorex groan, and she cant help but giggle. She stands up and pats the mud off her skirt.

"Thank you, Araignee!" Luca calls out. He flicks his hand and suddenly lights appear on the nearby trees, as if lanterns were floating, or held by the arm-like branches. The forest grows brighter due to this, but perhaps ominously so. "Well, it seems that the Forest is good even in its darkness. I do not know who you are, but you must be very lucky. Now, shall we move on?" He clears more of the woods, and the avenue of lantern-trees continued to spread, creating a path of green light.

Valandil stands there for a second. He was just completely, utterly silent- to the point where it seemed quite maddening if you'd take my opinion. In less than a second, he took out his bow and aimed it at tree branch. With his enhanced vision, he spotted a silhouetted figure of a man and sensed the faint scent of smoke.
"Who goes there?" he called out, voice in a low, but booming tone.
There was no reply.
"Speak!" he commanded.

Luca looks up and similarly notices the man. "It seems that he has some sort of negative intent towards someone in our party." he commented. He saw that a tree held the man, and knowing that the forest would obey him, ordered the tree to move, to grow, and to contort into something else- a cage? a box? The man would be trapped. Luca approached the tree the man stood on with curiosity.

Luca summons an earthen wall between himself and the stranger. "Now, who are you and what brings you here to this part of Druren? I am a reasonable Wiken, and I do not mean to fight. It is Night, and Night is not a good place to find oneself in."
